The antics of the UK press are infamous worldwide and seems to always centre around one man – publicity tycoon Rupert Murdoch. “Where is the proof?”, says the former editor of The Sun. “They’ve had six years to look at this and not one piece of evidence has been found”. It seems, though, that Murdoch’s evidence-free six years could be up as former PM Gordon Brown has asserted he has been a victim of this crime. Insiders claim that Murdoch’s political power has stalled these investigations in the past but whether it continues to do so in light of the continuing phone tapping revelations is yet to be seen.
